3/26/2013 10-11 by CAD

First call of the day was from the Starbucks and involved 2 females around 50 to 60 years of age getting a bath in the restroom. Supposedly they were screaming when asked by the staff to not bathe in the restroom so the staff called the Police. Unfortunately they had left as soon as they saw the staff calling 911, I'm sure it would have been a really funny call.

There were some minor calls like a few cars parked in a handicap parking space..... 2 $200.00 ticket's later and I'm on my way back in service.

Then I get a domestic call in which the husband grabbed the wife and wrestled her to the ground to get at her cell phone which supposedly had pictures of another guy that the husband believes his wife was cheating on him with. I get the call and as I'm in route my Sergeant sees the husband leave and stops him a few blocks away. I get to the house and determine that some type of an assault has taken place and by law we are required to make an arrest. So down to lock up goes the husband and we get a warrant for simple assault and he gets released on his own recognizance. I do my paperwork, get an Emergency Protection Order and clear and go back in service.

A shoplifting call comes in next in which a female tried to steal about $160.00 in laundry detergent. This is happening a lot in our sector and one of my partners was currently down at lock up with somebody who stole some detergent from a supermarket right across the street.  It seems like this female tried to exit the store and was stopped by loss prevention at which time she dropped the goods and beat feet. We checked the area but could not find her so I went back to the store and took the report.

As I'm logging off the computer at the end of my shift I hear a call come out over the radio for the same address as the domestic to check for a wanted party. My guess is that the husband took out a cross warrant on the wife. Sad but that's what happens every day.

Oh and my shoulder still hurts from yesterday.....more Motrin I guess.
